More Frameworks covered
The announcement blog post generated quite a lot of requests for more web frameworks to be covered. I’ve added 3 new ones, all with live demos:
I tried adding Titanium but it didn’t build cleanly on my test box (due to Pod::Xhtml dependency failing its tests).
Live Dancer Demo
We now have a Host Monster demo account setup at the domain: hostmonster.perlsharedhosting.com
I added a page on Dancer, and deployed a Hello World dancer app (in CGI mode) onto the Host Monster demo account – that’s our first shared hosting live demo!
You can see it running at: http://hostmonster.perlsharedhosting.com
Host Monster added
I’ve added Host Monster to the list of Shared Hosting Providers, and also added Technology pages covering local::lib, cpanminus, Task::Kensho and PSGI/Plack.
I also discovered that HostingZoom, the first provider covered, has a serious limitation – no access to cc (which means you can’t build your own XS modules).
Getting started
For background info on why this site exists, see: http://blog.patspam.com/2010/perlsharedhosting
I’ve kicked things off by creating a HostingZoom page, listing basic information about the version of Perl installed, installed modules, etc..
All very basic, but it’s a start.
